I am glad you found out about our Women's Business Network. We are a fairly informal group of women involved in many areas of business. We get together once a month to get to know each other and to try to help each other's businesses succeed.
The purpose of WBN is to offer networking opportunities and inspire, educate, and motivate women to be the best they can be in their business and personal lives.
September 2009 marks our fifth year of existence as a group. We now find ourselves with 50 members and over 25 women in attendance at our monthly meetings. These meetings focus on getting to know each other better and on continuing to support each other in business by leading, mentoring and spreading each other's name all over the place! And thanks to our Leading Ladies (click here for their roles and contact information), who handle the many day-to-day details of running our organization.
Our WBN has become a larger, more diverse group than ever. In the past year, we have increased our e-mail contact list to over 100 women. This e-mail list is used to communicate with each other not only about meeting information, but also to spread the word about other networking or business opportunities which could help us. We hope that everyone on this list will continue to let us know of upcoming opportunities such as expos, networking, and other events that can help us all spread the word about WBN and the work of all the awesome women in our group.
